Orothy May Peery, 73, Independence, passed away Dec. 19, 1993, at St. Joseph Health Center.
Mrs. Peery was born in Eudora, Ks., and lived in this area more than 50 years. She was an office worker at General Motors Leeds assembly plant, retiring in 1981. She was a member of the Gregory Boulevard Church of Christ. She was past Missouri state president of the Social Order of Beauceant.
Her husband, Lawrence E. Peery, passed away in 1970. Survivors include a son, Lawrence E. Peery Jr., Merriam; two daughters, Barbara L. Knoche, Independence, and Jan M. Price, the Woodlands, Texas; two brothers, Wesley Brecheisen, Eudora, and Freddie Brecheisen, Gardner; four sisters, Marie Foster, Merriam, Eva Waggoner, Lawrence, Alice Bosley, Ozark, Ark., and Wilma Griffin, Eudora; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held Dec. 22 at Newcomer's Floral Hills Chapel; burial in Floral Hill Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to the Eye Foundation of the Knights Templar in care of the East Gare Masonic Lodge.
