A son of William and Jane Holland Banks, he was born April 28, 1910 at Coal Glen.
Mr. Banks was a member of the Plumville UP Church. he was a retired coal miner and UMWA member.
Surviving are his widow, Willine Whitacre Banks; three sons: Willima Eugene, Erie; Paul W., Coraoplis; Kenneeth at home; three daughters: Mrs. Robert (Beverly) Steams, Buffalo, N.Y.; Mrs. James (Willine) Wolfe, Smicksburg RD1; Mrs. William (Florence) Sears, Home; his mother Hastingsm Mich. 19 grandchildren; six (6) great-grandchildren; two brothers: Robert, Battlecreek, Mich.; Clifford, Chambersville; five (5) sisters Mrs. Viola Ruffner, Mrs. Jack (Priscilla) Burlingame, Marshall, Mich.; Mrs. James (Grace) George, Brunswick, N.Y.; Mrs. Michael (Lillian) Honkus, New Kensington.
He is preceded in death by his father, and four sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Fennelton, Mrs. Florence Barris, and infants, Mabel and Lillian.
Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. today and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Bower Funeral Home, Plumville, where services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Douglas W. Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in Atwood Cemetery.
