William R. Arbuckle of Sherman township died Sept. 15, 1929, at an Ann Arbor hospital where he had been for medical care. The body was brought to Gladwin Wednesday
where services were held at the Skeels Baptist church Wednesday at 1 p. m., conducted by Rev. E. Roloff of Hope. Burial took place at the Skeels cemetery.

William R. Arbuckle, son of Archie and Sarah Arbuckle, was born at Woodstock, Ontario, Nov. 5, 1887. In early childhood he came with his parents and elder brother to Gladwin county, Michigan where he spent the greater part of his life. When 15 years old he was converted and baptized.

He was married Nov. 3, 1912 to Bertha Tolly at Skeels. To this union were born four sons and four daughters. Two of the sons preceded him in death. Three months before he passed away he reconsecrated his life to his Savior.

He leaves to mourn their loss, his wife and six children and his brother Robert and family and a host of friends. Gladwin County Record dated 9-19/1929 Column - 1 Page - 4.
