Nathan Napoleon "Pole" Anderson, 81, of Whiteside, WV died February 6 in the Kanawha Valley Hospital, Charleston, WV after a long illness.
He was born August 24, 1888 in Crossville, the son of James Logan and Theodosia Narramore Anderson. He was a retired miner.
He is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs Flora Elizabeth Lockwood, Whiteside, WV; Mrs Iris Aileen Webb, Chicago, Ill; Mrs Peggy Lavada Roberts, Jonesboro, Tn; 7 sons, Beecher Lee, Seth, WV; James Herman, William Edgar and Ralph Allen, Whiteside, WV; Lloyd Baxter, Piqua, Oh; Eugene Dalton, Charleston, WV; Arnold Eugene, Oak Hill, WV; 4 sisters, Nancy MacLemore, Scottsboro, Al; Mattie Hughes, Nell Dayton, Ollie Hughes, Pomona, Tn; 3 brothers, Bill, Dayton, Oh; Jerry, Morehead, Ky; Jack, Pomona, Tn.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lavada Lavera Walker Anderson on August 7, 1954 and by an infant daughter and son.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Bilbrey Funeral Home with burial in Pomona cemetery.
