His funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at Chambers Funeral Home, Eldridge, Iowa. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.
A. J. was born May 12, 1972, in Moline, the son of Alvin and Jill (Osborn) Shepard, and was a 1991 graduate of North Scott High School.
He was a devoted fan of AC/DC and recently fulfilled his dream of seeing them live in concert. A.J. enjoyed anything Ford, especially the Mustang, exploring the Internet and racing around the yard at his rural home on his Honda Go-Karts.
Those left to honor his memory include his mother, Jill, of Long Grove; his aunt and uncle, Shirley and Bill Osborn, of Palm Bay, Fla.; his uncle, Jerry Shepard, of Bettendorf; his cousin, Carmen Goldsberry and her family, of Long Grove; and his beloved canine companions, Buddy and Gizmo.
A.J. was preceded in death by his father.
