MRS. RICHARDSON GIVES UP FIGHT FOR LIFE
Woman Shot By Her Son-in-Law, Thomas Hardin Dies After Struggle of Nearly a Week.
After a struggle of nearly a week, Mrs. Jennie Richardson, 59 years old and mother of Jessie Hardin who was killed at her home at the corner of Howe and Rogers street last Wednesday by Thomas Hardin, her son-in-law, died at 9:15 last night at the Bloomington hospital as a result of the two gunshot wounds she recieved from her son-in-law's revolver. Pneumonia was the immediate cause of her death which developed in her right lung. The body of Mrs. Richardson was removed shortly after her death to the home of her mother, Mrs. N.M. Miller on south Lincoln street where the funeral will be held at 2:30 tomorrow in charge of Dr. J.W. Jones, of the First Methodist Church. Mrs. Richardson was a member of the Methodist Church at Redlands, Cal. She had only returned from California last January and was at the home of her daughter temporarily when shot down by Hardin. Mrs. Richardson was born in Fairbow Minn. November 23, 1855 and was married November 18, 1874 to Joshua Richardson. She had spent the last two years in California and also lived for a time in Arkansas. She is survived by the following children; Mrs. Arthur Chapdale and Mrs. Raymond O. Houser Calexico, Cal; Mrs. Charles Roach, Helena, Ark. and William and Virgil Richardson of this city. Her mother also survives together with the following brothers and sisters; J.F. Miller of Montana; Richard Miller, Martinsville; Hon Fremon Miller, Franklin; Miss Edith Miller, Fort Wayne and Miss Zora Miller, Indianapolis.
