James Loyd Keene, age 88, passed away at Middle Tennessee Medical Center on Sunday, January 13, 2008. He was a native of Brookhaven, MS that lived in Rutherford Co. for the past 30 years. He was a field superintendent for the Natural Gas and Oil pipeline construction. James was a member of the Third Baptist Church.

James is preceded in death by his wife, Susie Louise Keene and parents; John Pink and Lula Nations Keene. He is survived by son, Curtis (Donna) Keene of Smyrna, TN, daughter, Linda Keene Pearce of Richardson, TX, brother, Charles Keene of LA, grandchildren; Jeremy Keene, Kathryn Twomey, Suzanne Tidwell and Jason Pearce, as well as seven great-grandchildren.

The services for James will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, January 17, 2008 at Jennings and Ayers chapel with Mike Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Visitation with the family will be from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at Jennings and Ayers funeral home 820 S Church St. 615-893-2422
