He was a native of Evans County, but had lived in Bulloch County for 50 years and was a veteran of World War I. He was a member of Thomas Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Maggie Lattimore of Statesboro; five daughters, Mrs. Edna Mae Seabrook, Mrs. Bernese Jackson and Mrs. Georgia Mae Raymond, all of Statesboro, Mrs. Evelyn Palmer of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Mrs. Lucille Chatman of Trenton, N.J.; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Fariley of New Rochester, N.Y.; a brother, William Lattimore of Fort Lauderdale; 28 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Thomas Grove Baptist Church, with burial in Eastside Cemetery. Payton's Mortuary of Statesboro is in charge.
