Viola G Deardorff, 86, died Tuesday evening at the Homewood Retirement Center in Hanover where she had been since 1968.
She was born in McKnightstown, the daughter of Harvey W and Amanda Shull Deardorff.
She is survived by a son, Clair H Irwin, Baltimore, Maryland.
She was a member of the Eastern Star in Baltimore; Order of Amarauth Christina Court No. 5, Baltimore; a past officer of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, Samaria Shrine No. 43, Gettysburg, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Cashtown Fire Co. she was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Cashtown.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 at the Peters Funeral Home, Gettysburg, with her pastor, Rev. Edward W Coddington, officiating.
