James was born on April 1, 1931 to the union of John Rudolph and Mary Mitchell- Rudolph in Albion, Michigan.
Deacon Rudolph came to Battle Creek in 1951 from Albion. He graduated in 1949 from Albion High School. He loved to sing and was in a singing group. He loved to fish and hunt.
James was a memnber of the Bethlehem Temple Family where he served as First Man and Chairman of the Deacon Board.
He was employed for 38 years at the Battle Creek Veterans Administration Hospital as a Laundry Foreman retiring in 1988.
James married Pastor Ollie Mae Boyd on June 8, 1975 in Battle Creek.
Cherishing his memory is his lovely wife Pastor Ollie Mae Rudolph of Battle Creek, Michigan, daughters Lucille (Louis) Williams of Chicago. Teresa (Floyd) Marshall and Brenda Rudolph of Battle Creek, son Anthony (Betty) Rudolph of Minneapolis; brother Edward (Lois) Rudolph of Battle Creek; sisters Edna Williams and Catherine (James) Scott of Battle Creek, Michigan; step-sons Richard Murrell of Battle Creek and Michael Peters of Kalamazoo, MI and step-daughter Jeanine (Kenneth) Magee of Battle Creek, Michigan.
A special Sister-in-law China M. Phillips and a Speacial Father-in-law Deacon L.T. James of Battle Creek; 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchilden and a host of nieces and nephews,friens and the Bethlehem Temple of Springfield Church Family.
