Miss H. Marjorie Allen, 23 daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Seth S. Allen of 100 Court street, city, die suddenly yesterday noon while eating.
Miss Allen who has been an invalid since childhood, was eating a. pickle which became lodged in her throat and she choked to death. Her passing was almost instantaneous.
Dr. Sidney Mitchell was summoned and when he arrived at the Allen home he asked members of the fire department to rush the inhalator to him in an attempt to restore respiration. When the firemen reached the Allen home they found that Miss Allen had passed away.
The news of Miss Allen's sudden death spread rapidly throughout the city and words of sorrow were heard from everyone who knew her.
Surviving Miss Allen besides her parents are brother Dr.
George RQ. Allen of Champlain and a sister, Miss L. M. Allen, who is a teacher in the high school at Orange, N. J.
One sister-in-law, Mrs. Mllford Allen also survives.
Private funeral Services will be Thursday.
