Could Not Regain Health After Automobile Accident.
Frank B. Ament, about 50 years old, for many years proprietor of the St. James hotel in North Salina street, and prominent in fraternal organizations in this city, died shortly after midnight last night at his home, the result, it is believed, of injuries received last July, when he was caught beneath an overturned automobile while touring with a number of friends near Watertown.
Mr. Ament, with a party of friends, was on his way to Watertown when the automobile tipped over in making a sharp turn. All the passengers were thrown clear of the machine except Mr. Ament, who was crushed beneath the debris and received the injuries which caused his death this morning. He spent months in the Adirondacks in efforts to regain his health. Mr. Ament was formerly prominent in a number of fraternal organics ? in this city, but of late years had been compelled to resign from most of them because of ill health. He was an especially active member of Syracuse aerie, No. 53, F . O. Eagles.
Besides his widow, Mrs. Pauline Ament. he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. J. F. Moran of Brooklyn and Mrs. E. G. Hoyt of this city, and one brother, Nicholas Ament, a New York Central engineer. The funeral will be held at -10 o'clock Monday morning from his late home, No. 1528 North Salina street, and at 10:30 o'clock from St. John the Baptist church. Burial was made in St. Agues cemetery.
