Mr. John Bradley Dead. He was one of Jones County's Prominent Citizens.
News was received in Macon yesterday of the death of Mr. John Bradley,Sr., of Jones County. He passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs.W.W. Barron, in Clinton. The funeral will take place at Bradley, Ga., today at 12 o'clock at the family burying grounds.
Mr.Bradley was one of the oldest and most highly respectd citizens of Jones county. He was about 70 years of age at the time of his death, and for years held the office of sheriff and tax collector of Jones country. About twenty years ago his wife died. His death was very sudden. He was in Clinton last Saturday attending a meeting of Masons and seemed to be in perfect health. The death of Mr. Bradley is a loss to the county for he was one of the most successful planters in Middle Georgia.
