George Cooper

George Cooper, aged 68 years, of Volant R. D. 2, died at his home this morning at 3:30 o'clock, following four days of illness. He was born in Washington township on June 20, 1867, son of James and Rachel Cooper, on the same farm where he died. He had been married for forty-three years to Fannie Drake Cooper, who survives, and was a member of the Leesburg Presbyterian church and the Plaingrove I.O.O.F. No. 1047. In addition to his wife, he leaves one daughter, Mrs. Pearl McConnell, of Volant, R. D. 2; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Grimm, and Mrs. Christina Coryea, both of Volant. Another sister, Mrs. Will A. Mosgrove, of Oil City, died just two weeks ago. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Lucille May and Georgia Mildred McConnell, Volant R. D. 2. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the residence, with Rev. W. A. Lloyd, of the Leesburg Presbyterian church, in charge. Interment will be made in Plaingrove cemetery.
