Obituary from The Evening Sun, Saturday, 14 November 1959:

"Levi J. Forrester, 70, died unexpectedly yesterday afternoon at his home, Manchester Maryland. He was the husband of Irene Dawson Forrester and a son of late Philmore and Arabelle Headley Forrester. Besides his widow, he leaves two sons and a daughter, Jackson Levi, of Manchester R. D. 1, Woodrow Forrester and Mrs. Howard Madairy, Baltimore; 16 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Ernest Cockrell, Miskimmon, Virginia and Mrs. Orpha New, Lancaster, Virginia. Friends may call after 7 tonight at the Tipton funeral home, Hampstead. The body will lie in state at the Manchester Baptist church, Monday from 1 to 2 pm when funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Homer C. South. Burial will be in the church cemetery."
