Nellie Gould dies after long illness
Mrs. Nellie Gould, 90, widow of Robert Gould, and resident of the Pleasant Mills area most of her life, died at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the Davis national nursing home, Bluffton, where she had been a patient for the past seven years.
She was born in Adams county May 15, 1879, the daughter of Daniel and Sarah Moore-Wolfe, and died on the eve of her 91st birthday. Her husband preceded her in death in 1933.
Mrs. Gould was a member of the Friends church at Monroe.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. William (Laura) Strickler of Redkey; one brother, Harry H. Wolfe of Pleasant Mills, and one grandson, Grover Wolfe (sic) of Pleasant Mills. One son, Daniel, one brother and two sisters are deceased.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Gillig-Doan & Sefton funeral home, with Rev. Vernon L. Riley officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today until time of the services.
