CALDWELL - Services for Myron Reid Lyons, 81, of 109 N. Harrell, Boise, who died Tuesday in a Boise hospital, will be conducted at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 2 p.m. Friday by President Perry Morris Brock of the Caldwell Stake. Interment will be at Cloverdale Cemetery near Boise.

Mr. Lyons was born Aug. 20, 1890, in Osakis, Minn., and moved to Yakima Valley, Wash., with his parents when he was nine. He married Eva Chadwick June 21, 1916 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple, and they farmed at La Grande, Ore., until 1925. They farmed at Gridley, Calif., for a time, and returned to Hot Lake near La Grande in 1926. They moved to a farm in the Upper Deer Flat Community near Nampa in September, 1929, and to the Lower Deer Flat area near Houston in 1944. They returned in 1964 and moved to Caldwell.

He was an active member of the LDS Church and was in the high priest quorum.

Surviving in addition to Mrs. Lyons are three sons, Daly Lyons, Boise, Earl Lyons, Caldwell, and Glen C. Lyons, Celoya, Mexico; four daughters, Mrs. Art (Lucille) Ward, Boise, Mrs. Murill (Reva) Clark, Artesia, Calif., Mrs. Gerald (Shirley) Orcutt, Nampa, and Mrs. Dwane (Arlie) Bybee, Salt Lake City; a brother, Guy Lyons, Los Angeles; a sister, Mrs. Luella Bohns, Echo, Ore.; 30 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be given to the Gem State Chapter of the Blind.
