Fannie never married and did not have children. However, I fondly remember her as "Aunt Fannie" from family gatherings in Byron, Georgia. Little did I know as a youth that she wasn't my aunt but a cousin of my grandmother's! Still manners dictated that as a youth, Fannie needed a title and Aunt Fannie she was. She possibly lived with one of her brothers, Robert or Grady, and I have vague memories of them running a store with a soda pop machine. It was an amazing treat to me as a youth to be allowed to get a soda out of their soda machine!

Fannie was one of several children born to William Bowden "Bud" Bassett, Sr. (1875-1956; FAG# 6841771) and Sarah Jane "Sarah" Harper Bassett (1873-1951; FAG# 6841774). Bud and Sarah married on 12 Jan 1896 in Monroe County, Georgia, USA; he was 20 and she was 22.

Bud and Sarah's children:
*Elzie Jasper "Elzie" (1896-1987; FAG# 6841752) who married Evelyn Nobles (1906-1995; FAG# 6841755)
*William D. (born ~1898; I am able to find him through the 1910 census when he is 12 & living in his parents' home)
*Fannie V. (1901-1982; FAG# 6841768) - she never married
*Robert E. Lee "Robert" (1903-1980; FAG# 6841763) who married Annie Ruth Hardison (1910-1990; FAG# 26813395)
*Albert Grady "Grady" (1906-1982; FAG# 34353545) who married a lady named Gladys (1912-1977; FAG# 34353568)
*Louis C. (born ~1911; I am able to find him through the 1930 census when he is 19 & living in his parents' home)
