Bernice was the daughter of Lewis G Chipman and Harriett Bliss. She married Harvey Moore on June 9, 1915 at Glidden, Iowa. They were the parents of Marian and Charles.

Jan 30, 1990 - Carroll Daily Times - LAKE CITY - Bernice Moore, 95, of Lohrville died Sunday, Jan. 28, 1990, at Shady Oaks Nursing Home in Lake City. Funeral service will be today, Jan. 30, at 2 p.m. at the Huffman Memorial Chapel in Lake City with Dr. Carl Klein officiating. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Lidderdale.

The former Bernice Chipman, she was born Aug. 8, 1894 at Glidden, a daughter of Lewis and Harriett (Bliss) Chipman. She taught country school until she was married. On June 9, 1915, she married Harvey Moore at Glidden. They farmed near Lidderdale. In 1954 through 1969, she was house coordinator for Friendship Haven in Fort Dodge. In 1969 she moved to Sunnyview Retirement Home in Rockwell City where she lived until 1987 when she moved to Shady Oaks in Lake City. She was a member of the Farnhamville United Methodist Church, and she was Past Noble Grand of the Rebekkah Lodge of Farnhamville.

Survivors include a daughter, Marian Hicks of Albuquerque, N.M., and a son, Charles Moore of Lohrville; eight grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey, on June 10, 1942.
