Manhattan, July 27 – Sam Sinnema was fatally burned in a fire July 20 when a can of gasoline ignited in a tractor shed. A part of the head of a match flew off as he was lighting his pipe. He attempted to fight the fire and was badly burned. The fire occurred on an unoccupied farm and he had to drive five miles for help. Neighbors took him to the hospital in Bozeman where he died a few hours later.
Mr. Sinnema was born in Holland July 13, 1896. He came to the United States and the Holland settlement in 1913.
Survivors besides the wife, Ann Sinnema, and his mother, Mrs. Ida Sinnema, include two brothers, Richard and Frank of the Settlement; sisters, Mrs. Garret DeJong, Amsterdam; Mrs. T. Bolhuis, Mrs. Andrew Dykestad, and Mrs. Peter Hoffman, Manhattan.
