Last Rites Held for
Mrs. James Brouwer
Manhattan, Sept. 16 - (Special) - Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Brouwer, who died Tuesday after a brief illness, were held at the Christian Reformed church in the Holland settlement Saturday afternoon with the Rev. A. H. Bratt in charge. Pallbearers were Peter Dyk, Myndert Noot, Ties Van der Molen, Henry Feddes, S. De Boer and John De Boer.
Mrs. Brouwer was born in The Netherland in September [sic], 1895, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Sinnema. As a young girl she came to America and in Iowa, July 24, 1918, became the bride of James Brouwer. They lived for a time in California and came to the Holland settlement in 1923.
Surviving are the husband, two daughters, one son and the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sinnema.
