Edith F. Johnson, 88, Salina died Feb. 9, 2011. She was born Sept. 24, 1922 in Milltown, Indiana.

She was an office manager of Dave's Maintenance Service for 20 years. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Sallie Bowles; six brothers, Johnny Martin Bowles, Angus Bowles, Cyrus Bowles, Leon Bowles, Otis Bowles and Jesse Bowles and six sisters, Mae Ola LaHue, Gertrude Morgan, Elizabeth Bowles, Lela Bowles, Virginia Whitaker and Goldia Soliday.

She is survived by her husband, David O. Sr., four children, Judith Ann Courtney, David Johnson Jr., Sallie Jo Truitt and Anita K. Ryerson; a brother, Ralph Bowles; a sister, Lillie Harmon; ten grandchildren; Dwayne Lively, Angela Thompson, Daniel Johnson, Tina Johnson, Ashley Goldstein, Harris Ryerson, Jennifer Hageman, Jill Thurlby, Marnie Witzke and Jesslyn Buss; seventeen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

The funeral will be Monday, February 14, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 E Crawford, Salina. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday, February 13th from 1:00 to 5:00 pm at the Chapel where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
