KIRBYVILLE--Noah Hughes, 77, of Kirbyville, died at 7:10 AM Tuesday at Mixson Memorial Hospital after an illness.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM today in Hughes Cemetery in Newton County under the direction of Causey's E E Stringer Funeral Home.
A native of Rosepine, La, he had lived on Kirbyville 32 years and was a retired carpenter.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Stark Hughes of Kirbyville; six sons, Ottis Hughes, Dennis Hughes, Albert Hughes and Floyd Hughes, all of Kirbyville, Wiley Hughes of Bon Wier, Tx and Lawrence Hughes of Mauriceville, Tx; two daughters, Aurie Lee Foxworth of Kountze and Aline Mora of Irving, Tx; a brother, John Hughes of Mabank, Tx; two sisters, Bess Simmons and Mozebella Inman, both of Bon Wier; 18 grandchildren and1 greatgrandchild
