Taken from Art's funeral handout:
Art lived in Golden Valley most of his life and worked as a machinist at Durkee Atwood for 40 plus years, retiring in 1979.
He enjoyed spending time with his beloved dogs, his loving daughters and grandchildren. Art enjoyed going out to eat with his life long friend, Don Vinje, visiting the horses at his daughter Dawn's house.
He loved nature and all animals. He was a wonderful husband to his wife Ethel who passed away in 1997. Art was lucky enough to share his home with his granddaughter Kristi, who was his companion and caregiver for ten years.
He also enjoyed watching old time movies and listening to big band music. He was a kind and gentle man full of love and tenderness with a devotion to nature and animals. He lived a happy life, hoping to reach age 100, but unexpectedly and suddenly passed away. He will be greatly missed.
