Dori Helms Scott went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 8, 2011.
Dori was born in Indianapolis, IN on June 29, 1937, the daughter of George and Margaret Huggins. During her life she married Robert Stultz, Bobby Helms, and Jerry Scott.
Dori is survived by daughter Sherri Porter and husband James of Cloverdale, IN; Melinda Stinson and husband Larry of Sevierville, TN; Rob Helms and wife Lisa of Martinsville, IN; and Angel McCartney of Martinsville, IN. Also surviving are siblings Juanita Tuck and Sam Huggins of Indianapolis, IN. She was loved by her 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Dori traveled worldwide as an entertainer with the late Bobby Helms. She was a homemaker and Son Shine Ladies volunteer.
Dori was a member of Calvary Heights Baptist Church, 532 North Kristi Road, Martinsville, IN where visitation will be held Monday, April 11, from 3:00 – 7:00 P.M. The Celebration of Life will immediately follow.
Graveside services will be held at Hilldale Cemetary, East Morgan Street, Martinsville, IN on Tuesday, April 12.
