Artie Jean Alcorn is the daughter of James "Joe" Jacob Alcorn and Eula Bell Alcorn (nee Collier).

The Review-Appeal, Franklin, TN, dated Thursday, Dec. 8, 1983:
Mrs. Artie Jean Coffman dies
Mrs. Artie Jean Coffman of Nolensville, 81, died on Thursday, December 1, at the Williamson County Hospital after a short illness. Survivors are sons, Norma[n] F. Coffman, Nolensville, Earl, Lester and Floyd Coffman; daughters, Mildred and Opal Gillespie, Ruby Coffman, Thelma Barchus and Velma Rodreguez; sisters, Iva Lee Somsen, Edna Nagel, and Gwen Cooper; brothers, Oral, Carl, Bill, George, and Oscar Alcorn; 22 grandchildren; a number of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Walter Chapel in Nolensville was in charge of the services on Monday Dec. 5 with the Reverend Carl Alcorn officiating. Pallbearers were Alfred Scales, David Williams, Oscar Warren, Bobby Yates, Elton Scales, and Clifford Bryant. Burial was in Harpeth Hills Mausoleum. A native of Oklahoma City, Ok., she was the daughter of the late Joe and Belle Collier Alcorn. Mrs. Coffman was a retired interior decorator for a retail furniture store. She was a member of the Nolensville Baptist Church and the Friendly Neighbors Home Demonstration Club.
