Funeral services were held this afternoon for James Perry Taylor, 58, of 108 Symons Street, Pooler, who died Saturday at Oglethorpe Sanatorium after a long illness. Mr. Taylor had been a barber in Pembroke and Pooler for 35 years. He was a member of the Pooler First Baptist Church and a former secretary of Pembroke Lodge F&AM 469.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Kathryn Butler Taylor; a step-daughter, Mrs. Tuleda Harvey Gross; an uncle, L. F. Oates of Savannah; and two aunts, Mrs. A. M. Dixon of Savannah and Mrs. Percy Dixon of Alachua, Florida.
Fox and Weeks Funeral Home was in charge.
