Helen Cobb Stimpson, age 61 of Farmville, passed away at her home Sunday, April 3, 2011.

She was born in Washington, D.C. to Audrey Scruggs Cobb and Melvin Cobb.

She was the former co-owner of Carters Flower Shop and had a great interest in reading, and talent in gardening, decorating and cooking. Her favorite pastime was sharing her love with her family and her grandchildren.

She is survived by her two sons, Sean Thomas Stimpson and his wife Angela from Red Oak, Va. and Chris Edward Stimpson and his wife Aneicia from Cumberland, Va.; four grandchildren, Dylan Thomas Stimpson, Justin Edward Stimpson, Ryan David Stimpson and Hunter Jackson Stimpson; one brother, George Melvin Cobb, Jr. of Charlotte Court House and one sister, Deborah Hammer and husband Charles of Charlotte Court House.

The family received friends Tuesday, April 5 at Puckett Funeral Home with a funeral service held Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Spring Creek Baptist Church, Darlington Heights, with interment in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to your local rescue squad. Puckett Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
