Ila Clydene Hindley, age 78, of Centerville, Iowa, died Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Centerville Nursing & Rehab Center in Centerville. She was born the daughter of Henry C. and Jessie(Steele)Hixenbaugh on January 15, 1933 in Centerville, Iowa. She graduated from the Centerville High School in 1950.

On October 13, 1950, Clydene was united in marriage to Paul Hindley, Jr. in Nevada, Iowa. She worked at what is now called US Bank in Centerville, Iowa as a Bank Teller for over 33 years. She enjoyed volunteering for the Centerville Chamber of Commerce and the Garfield Elementary School in Centerville. She was a member of the Drake Avenue Christian Church in Centerville and a avid Iowa Hawkeye Fan.

She is preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Paul Hindley, Jr. on September 25, 1974; her son, Michael Lynn Hindley in May of 1992; brothers, Leon, Harold, Joe and James Hixenbaugh; sisters, Ruth Clark, Eloise Dobbs and.

Clydene is survived by: her sons, Paul Hindley and his wife, Barb of Liberty, Missouri and Nicholas Hindley and his wife, Kim of Centerville, Iowa; a daughter, Bridget Lynette Ellingson and her husband, Lance of North English, Iowa; a daughter-in-law, Teresa Hindley of Des Moines, Iowa; grandchildren, Delissa, Brandi, Ginger, Cameron, Maggie and Jackson, Paul, John, Jamie, Jackie, Travis, Erin, Zak and Ryan; great grandchildren, Payton, Taylor, Hayden and Garrett; along with special friend, Robert Rosencrants of Centerville, Iowa.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 11 am at the Haines Cemetery north of Centerville, Iowa with Ken Mehrhoff officiating. Burial will follow in the Haines Cemetery. Visitation will be held all day on Friday, April 8, 2011 with the family present from 6 pm until 8 pm at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville. Memorials can be made to either the Centerville Fire Department or Books for local Libraries.
