Daughter of Thomas Isentrager AKA Charles John Eckman. and Mary Tolker. Father Thomas Isentrager married useing mother maiden name of Eckman because Mary said she was hiding from her Catherie Irish father. From that time on Mary Tolker most times used the married name Eckman but when it came to getting Thomas Isentrager Civil War Pension Mary Toker was more then willing to use the name Isentrager. Luella did not know until her mother death that she was born an Isentrager, She married as a Eckman. This is all documanted in the Civil War Pension File of Thomas Isentrager, and in a letter written by Luella Cox shortly after her mothers death to the Soldiers Home school were her mother dumped her as soon as she received the pension.
