SARAH S. RENSHAW, aged 83 years, 6 months, and 4 days, and widow of J.J. RENSHAW, passed away at her home, 1218 South Judson, this afternoon at 2:15 o'clock of senility. Mrs. RENSHAW had been ailing for the past 6 months and for
the past 3 months had been bedfast. The deceased, a resident of this locality since she was 16 years of age, is survived by 3 daughters and one son: Mrs. MAY
STEWART; Ft. Scott, Mrs. W.R. KING, Pueblo, CO; Mrs. J. FINCH, Ft. Scott; and C.B. RENSHAW, Walla Walla, WA; also 2 sisters; Mrs. ADDIE KESSINGER, Iola, KS;
and Mrs. ETTA COX, Severy, KS; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

SARAH S. JORDAN was born at Terre Haute, IN, November 4, 1849, and came to this locality when a girl, and first settled in Vernon County, near Stotesbury, MO,
where they lived until 24 years ago when the family moved to Ft. Scott. She was united in marriage to J.J. RENSHAW on November 4, 1869 - her 20th birthday - in Bourbon County, KS. Mrs. RENSHAW's family came to this locality with a colony of 32 from the east, before the railroads were built. Mrs. RENSHAW was a member of the First Methodist Church and had been a devoted church worker all her life.
She had also been a member of the Ladies' Aid, Miss Morgan's Sunday school class, and the W.C.T.U. She had the devoted care of her daughters in her illness.

The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 p.m. at the Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. Perick, and interment will be beside her husband,
whose death occurred 17 years ago, in the West Liberty Cemetery.
