Mrs. M. F. Kissinger received a message late yesterday saying that her sister, Mrs. Cordelia Coffman, of Glendale, Calif., had died of influenza. Another sister there is suffering from the malady, which just now is gripping California. Mrs. Coffman was eighty-one years old and the first of five sisters to pass away. The body will be interred in the Glendale cemetery. The deceased was well known in this vicinity as the Coffman family resided in Ft. Scott many years, and there are a number of relatives living in Iola.
