Achsah was the daughter of Isaac Sherman (1781 - 1814) and Abigail Arnold (1786 - 1851)of Berkshire County, Massachusetts. Her brothers (also buried in this cemetery)were Isaac and Joel Ballou Sherman.

Isaac Sherman, Sr., the father of Achsah, Isaac, Jr., and Joel, was born 23 Feb 1781 and died in May 1814. According to an original manuscript about Lindon and Achsah (Sherman) Jenks' family written by their son, Dr. W. O. Jenks, Achsah's father was killed while assisting a sheriff in an arrest in Clarksberg, Berkshire Co., Massachusetts.
