Marie A. Shotts McIntosh

Marie Alice Shotts McIntosh died March 31, 2001, in Ontario, Ore.

She was born June 2, 1921, in Basin, Wyo. In 1937, she married Clifford E. McIntosh, who preceded her in death in 1990. They lived in Cody, Wyo., and the surrounding area, while raising a family. Later they moved to Washington, and served as pastors at several churches, including Camas.

Her later years were spent living near family, first in Alaska then in Denver, Colo., and New Mexico with her daughters. The last years she lived in Ontario, near her granddaughters and their children. She loved going to church and was known by everyone in her church in Ontario as "the bun lady" because she passed out the buns at the Sunday barbecues during the summertime. Sometimes she sat in her wheelchair and passed out church bulletins at the door and greeted everyone with her cheerful smile. She enjoyed being with family for holidays and with her church family. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy A. Ballard, of Arizona, Wreatha Miller of New Mexico; one son, James E. McIntosh of Alaska; sister-in-law, Gladys Walker of Washington; three grandsons, two granddaughters, 11 great-grandsons, six great-granddaughters, six great-great-granddaughers, four great-great-grandsons, four nieces, five nephews and many friends.

A grave side service was held Monday at the Fern Prairie Cemetery in Camas.
