Samuel McIntosh, fourth child of John and Martha (Henry) McIntosh, was born in Bedford, New Hampshire, 17 April 1784. He was killed by the fall of a tree at Bethel, 30 June 1849, and buried in Gilead Cemetery.
He married in Amherst, New Hampshire, probably 16 Nov 1813, Phebe Wyatt, daughter of Samuel and Sarah (Parker) Wyatt.
Samuel McIntosh was a farmer like his father. He acquired land in the Gilead section of Bethel on 31 December 1811. He was the second of the seven McIntosh children to move to Bethel.
