Lucile J. Shewell, 84, died August 21, 1988 in Salt Lake City. Born July 25, 1904 to Joseph Irwin James and Martha Hannah Swaner.
Married Harry Shewell , July 3, 1925 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, divorced in 1949. Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, living in the 29th Ward, Riverside Stake for 31 years. An employee of The Paris Company, 1955-1969.
Survived by nine children; Mrs. Walter (Elaine) Stewart; Foster J. Shewell; David J. Shewell; Mrs. F David (Annette) Stanley, all of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Donald (Bonnie) Jentzsch, Salem , Oregon; H. James Shewell, Vernal; Ellsworth "Duke" J. Shewell, Las Vegas, NV; Mrs. George (Victoria) Collard, Fairview; Cordell J. Shewell, Seattle, Washington; 54 grandchildren and 66 great-grandchildren. Proceeded in death by son Winston J. Shewell.
Funeral services, Thursday, August 25th 12 noon in the Larkin Mortuary Chapel 260 East South Temple where friends may call Wednesday evening 6-8 p.m. and Thursday one hour prior to the services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
