Lewis Delane Boatright
HARRISBURG, ILL. —
Lewis Delane Boatright, 69, Harrisburg, died 8:15 a.m. Monday, April 4, 2011, at his residence.
He was born on Nov. 14, 1941, in Brushy Township to James Lloyd Boatright and Mary Eva (Dunn) Boatright. On Oct. 10, 1964, he married the former Connie Tuttle, and she survives in Harrisburg.
He was an Army veteran, retired from ConRail Railroad and a member of the American Legion Post No. 167 of Harrisburg.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Boatright of Harrisburg; a son, Matthew (Kim) Boatright of Mohnton, Pa.; a daughter, Delana (Thomas) Gregg of Baltimore, Md.; and twin granddaughters, Athena and Freya Gregg.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Dewey Boatright.
Visitation is 9 a.m. to service time at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home in Carrier Mills with Pastor Cherrie Wilkerson officiating. Burial will be in North America Cemetery with military graveside honors by the Carrier Mills and Harrisburg American Legions and the Army Honor Guard.
