RAYMOND ALLEN
Mr. Raymond Allen, 89, of Hillsboro died Monday, September 16, at his
residence. He was born March 16, 1913 in the Blanton-Grubb Hill community in
Hill County, son of Lon and Ida Perkins Allen. He resided in Osceola until
moving to Hillsboro in 1971, where he continued to farm and ranch. He was a
member of Westside Church of Christ of Hillsboro. He was preceded in death
by his wife, the former Zella Moree Yocham, in 1971; one grandson, Cody
Allen; and one sister, Myrtle Pharris. Survivors include: one son, Dennis
Allen and wife, Teresa, of Hillsboro; two brothers, Ed Allen of Cleburne and
B. L. Allen of Lubbock; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and
numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday,
September 18, at Edens Funeral Home Chapel in Hillsboro with Dr. Allan Lane
officiating. Burial was at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro.
