Imogene Blackburn, 76, of 2513 SE Onawa St, died of a heart ailment Sunday at DM General Hospital. Services will be at 2pm Thursday at Merle Hay Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Blackburn was born in Missouri and lived in Des Moines most of her life. She has worked at Northwest Hospital.
She is survived by four sons, Homer of Trenton, MO, Harry of Dexter, IA, Albert Orville (Jr) and Harold, both of Las Vegas NV; four daughters, Dorothy Trindle of Las Vegas NV; Willa Mae DeCamp of Redfield,IA, Lois Jean French of St. Joseph, MO, and Anita Louise Leslie of Des Moines, IA; her brother, LaVerne Brannam of Wakarusa, KS; her siste, Mary Alice Nigh of Edgewood, NM; 29 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild.
