Russell Emmett Davis, 65, of 6118 Alexander St., the husband of Mrs. Margaret Carter Davis and a native of Pamplin, Va., died Monday morning in a hospital. He lived here for 35 yeas and was retired from Civil Service at the Naval Air Rework Facility after 29 years. He was a member of Pamplin United Methodist Church and attended Thalia Lynn Baptist Church. Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. William Stancell of Virginia Beach, Mrs. Charles K. Turner, Sr. of Raleigh, N.C., and Mrs. Danny E. Williams of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Harry D. Carter and Mrs. Arthur W. Davis of Norfolk; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Smith & Williams Funeral Home by the Rev. Junius E. Foster Thalia Lynn Church. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday and Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
