Tommie Ruth Lutz Tommie Ruth Lutz, 83, of Hoover Valley, died peacefully and quietly at home Aug. 11, 2005. She had recently discovered she had bone cancer.
Funeral services were held Monday at the Hoover Valley Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bob Farrell officiating. She will be buried next to her husband at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park.
Pallbearers are grandsons Marvin Lewis III, Walter Tillery, Danny Tillery, Adler Daniels, David Parker, and Ronnie Rodriguez. She had lived in Hoover Valley for the last 21
years; she attended Hoover Valley Baptist Church and volunteered her time for Hoover Valley Volunteer Fire Department Auxillary.
She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Lutz, son Larry Lutz, brother Bobby Jones, sister Medaline Peterson, two grandchildren, and two great-granddaughters.
Survivors include: sons, Alan Lee Lutz and daughters Beverly Tillery and Sharon Kay Lewis, all of Burnet; sisters Oneta Sedgwick of Plainview, Nellie Jo Sogard of Wichita Falls, and Nancye May of Graham; brothers Donald Jones of Slaton, Douglas of Graham, and James Paul Jones of College Station; 8 grand children, 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Tommie is Mom will be missed by her family and many friends.
Many thanks go to hospice and Dr. Garwacki and Dr. Dieki for their loving care.
