Mr. Joseph Daniel(s) was born in Summerset [sic] County, Pennsylvania June 30, 1845 and died in Brush, Colorado, June 23 1921. He was united in matrimony with Miss Mary King, October 3, 1873. To this union eleven children were born. From Pennsylvania Mr. and Mrs. Daniel(s) moved to Iowa, from whence, after a residence of many years, they removed to Nebraska, where they resided for five years, coming to Colorado in 1910, locating on a homestead south of Akron.
Together, Mr. and Mrs. Daniels united with the Methodist Episcopal Church in 1904, but a subsequent change of residence led to the transfer of their membership to the United Brethran Church.
They were held in high regard by all who knew them for their simple faith and genuine Christian character.
Mrs. Daniels died in Akron October 26, 1919 and her body was laid at rest in the Akron Cemetery.
The funeral services of Mr. Daniels was held in the Presbyterian Church Sunday afternoon, pastor of the local Methodist Church conducting the same. Interment was in the local cemetery.
The community extends its sympathy to the surviving members of the family.
