MRS. ASKEY, 92, OLD RESIDENT OF DAKOTA, IS DEAD
HAD LIVED IN STEPHENSON COUNTY 80 YEARS; FUNERAL SERVICES THURSDAY

Dakota, Ill., Feb 7.-- Mrs. Elizabeth B. Askey, widow of the late William Askey, and a resident of Stephenson county for 50 years, passed away at her home here last night, about 8 o'clock at the age of 92 years. Her passing came after an illness extending over the past week. It resulting from old age and a general breaking down.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon at Dakota Community church. Rev. J. Naly will conduct the services and burial will be made in the Dakota cemetery.
Elizabeth Brenizer was born at Wooster, Ohio, on May 9, 1836. The family moved west when she was a young girl settling in Stephenson county. She was united in marriage to William Askey in 1861. The husband passed away in 1908. For the last 64 years Mrs. Askey had resided in Dakota. She was well and favorably known throughout this vicinity.
She was the last of a family of thirteen children. She is survived by two daughters they being Mrs. W. W. Diemer and Miss Bertha Askey, both of Dakota.
