Mr. Freeman Ray Bryant, age 84, of San Augustine, Texas entered into rest March 30, 2011, in Lufkin, Texas. He was born November 28, 1926, in San Augustine County to the late Bud Edward Bryant and Annie Bell (Moore) Bryant.
Mr. Bryant was a member of the Broaddus United Pentecostal Church. He was also a minister. During WWII he served in the U.S. Navy. He owned a Tractor/Equipment Store and was a farmer and rancher in the area.

He is survived by his wife Joyce (Higginbotham) Bryant of San Augustine; son Ray Bryant and wife Carolyn of San Augustine; grandson Allen Bryant and wife Pam of San Augustine; granddaughter Angie McGown and husband Todd of San Augustine; great-grandsons Nick Bryant of Beaumont and Kolby Bryant of San Augustine; great-granddaughters Ashton Bryant of Beaumont and Taylor McGown of San Augustine; brother E.D. Bryant of Etoile; sisters Lois Evett of San Augustine and Tempi of Friendswood.

He was preceded in death by 3 sisters Ethel Bennefield, Opaline Bryant and Allie Gregston; and 1 brother Allen Bryant.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 1, 2:00 P.M. at Broaddus United Pentecostal Church with Bro. Mark Green and Bro. Charles Stephens officiating with burial following in Attoyac Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 P.M.till 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 31, 2011, in Wyman Roberts Funeral Home.
