LIDA STARK
---Mrs. Lida Stark, a former La Plata resident, died Friday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R.N. Evans, of LaGrange.
---Mrs. Start was born at Forsyth, Montana on November 16, 1880. At the age of seven she moved with her family to Kingston, Illinois where she lived until her marriage to Herbert H. Stark of La Plata. To this marriage were born five children, Emma S. (Mrs. Robert) Evans of La Grange, Marshall M. Stark of Canon City, Colorado, Lillian I. (Mrs. John) Russell of Wichita, Kansas and two other daughters who lived a few days. She has nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
---Mrs. Stark was an active member for many years, of both the Order of the Eastern Star of Kingston and LaGrange and the Rebekah Lodge of Sycamore, Illinois of which she was past Noble Grand.
---In 1939, after the death of her husband, Mrs. Stark came to La Grange to make her home with her daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. R.N. Evans. At the time of her death she was an active member of the First Methodist Church in LaGrange, Chapter 201, Order of Eastern Star and the LaGrange Womens Club.
---Funeral services were at a LaGrange Funeral Home and held at 8:00 the evening of the 14th and the body was taken to the Methodist Church in La Plata where Rev. J.T. Quigley presided over services at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Burial was in the La Plata Cemetery.
