The funeral service for Maley R. Ingle, age 70 years, former Keokuk County resident, who died on Sunday evening, November 14 about 5:30 o'clock at the home of his son, Wendall, in Portland, Oregon, where he lived for the past one and half years, was held at Reynolds Funeral parlor here on Sunday afternoon. The Rev. L.G. Potter, pastor of the Christian Church, conducted the service and burial was made at Rock Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Ingle had been in failing health for some time but his last illness was brief.
He was born on October 26, 1873 on a farm near Ollie and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Ingle. Most of his life was spent in Keokuk County. In 1896, he was united in marriage to Amy Wiseman and they became the parents of 10 children. Preceding him in death were his wife, two and one-half years ago, and one son Patrick Henry.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. James Buck of Washington, Mrs. Charles Davis 0f Waterloo, Mrs. Frank Hadsell of Waukegan, Illinois, Mrs. Ernest Moore of Ottumwa, and Mrs. Jacob Penner of Sigourney, and four sons, Wendall of Portland, Oregon, Paul, whose address is unknown, Phillip, with the U.S. Army overseas, and Keith with the U.S. Army at Camp Gruber, Oklahoma.
Also living are 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Fred Hahn of Sigourney, and one brother, Isaac Ingle of Ollie.
