He shot himself on front porch at the Ingle homeplace.
Isaac J. Ingle, the son of John and Maria Carter Ingle, was born in Keokuk County, Iowa on January 19, 1863 and died June 22, 1944, age 81 years, 5 months and 3 days.
He was united in marriage to Nancy Ruby on June 20, 1884. To this union were born 10 children, six sons and four daughters, two sons died in infancy. The remaining sons are Lafe, Clarence, Mart, and Wallace of this vicinity; the four daughters are Mesdames Clara Curtis and Blanche Davis of Sigourney, Celia Barnes of Dunbar, Wis. and Daisy Hubbs of Des Moines. He had 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Matilda Hahn of Sigourney. His wife, two children, and one great-grandchild, his brother, Maley, all preceded him in death. He has four grandsons in the U.S. Service.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Mr. Olson at the Methodist Church in Ollie on June 25th. Interment was made in the Ollie Cemetery.
