Harold Donald Parrish, 83, of Plains passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2010 in a Denver City Hospital.
He was born January 17, 1927 in Sweetwater, Texas to J. H. and Maude Parrish.
He graduated from Union High School in 1944. He was a Korean U.S. Army Veteran.
Harold married Wanda Langford on March 17, 1957 in Brownfield. He farmed in Yoakum County his whole life, retiring in 2009. He was an original stockholder of the Tokio Co-Op Gin. He served on the board at the gin for 36 years. He was a member of the Lubbock Production Credit/AG Texas Board and various other boards. Harold was Yoakum County's Farmer of the year in 1996.
Harold is survived by his wife, Wanda of Tokio; 2 sons, Jerry Parrish and wife Jan of Plains and Don and wife Suann of Plains; 4 grandchildren, Kirk Parrish and wife Arizona of Brownfield, Lisa Bown and husband Chad of Castle Rock, CO, Blake Parrish of Lubbock and Troy Parrish of Lubbock; 4 great grandchildren, Cody, Mini, Jacklynn Parrish and Audrey Bown.
