Lillian Parrish Bevers, 100, of Odessa, Texas went to be with her heavenly Father on August 12, 2018.
Lillian was born in Roby, Texas to James and Maude Parrish on July 12,1918. Lillian moved with family to Brownfield where she attended Union school and then went on to work in Lubbock, Texas where she met her husband C.S. “Chick” Bevers. They married in 1939 and relocated to Odessa where she resided while her spouse was on an air craft carrier in World War II. In 1948 Lillian gave birth to her daughter Charlene. As a family they moved to Stanton, Texas in 1955, where Lillian worked in the church nursery, taught Sunday school, and regularly babysat for people she knew. Lillian was a Girl Scout leader and was highly involved in all her daughter’s activities. Later in life she was involved in and thoroughly enjoyed the Senior Citizens Center in Stanton and was a proud member of the Old Sorehead Band. After her husband’s death in 1968, she helped take care of her beloved grandsons Donnie and Chuck. She moved back to Odessa to be near family in 1998. Lillian was a Christian who loved Jesus and loved her church, Northside Baptist Church. She loved her family and loved to be at family gatherings. Later in life she loved to see her great, great grandkids. She always had a special fondness for little children. She was an independent lady and lived life on her terms to the fullest. She was the best loving Mother and will leave a huge hole in our family and hearts.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1968, children; twins, Alvin and Calvin Bevers in 1942, twins, Joyce and Gene Bevers in 1940, and Eddie Don Bevers in 1955.
