Former Kermit resident Floy Edna Rose, 83, of Waxahachie, died Monday, December 3, 1990, at Baylor Medical Center in Ennis.

Services will be held Friday, December 7, at 4 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church in Seymour with Rev. M.F. Hankins of Holliday and Rev. Lloyd McIntosh of Seymour officiating.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, December 8, in Kermit Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Waxahachie Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rose was born in Paris on March 14, 1907, to the late Van and Oma Vaden of Seymour. She was married on July 4, 1936, in Seymour to Olan L. Rose, who preceded her in death. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Seymour and was actively involved in the women's ministeries of that church.

Mrs. Rose resided in Kermit until 1982 when she moved back to Seymour to care for her parents. She became ill in January 1990 and was moved to Renfro Nursing Home in Waxahachie on February 26, 1990.

Survivors include a daughter, Vernelle Trammell of Mesquite; a son, R.J. Rose of Coalinga, Calif.; two sisters, Evelyn Pace of Waxahachie and Grace Schumacher of Seymour; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Michael Calvert, Stephen Calvert, Randy Calvert, Edward Earl Vaden, Carl Vaden and Jimmy Vaden.

In Seymour, arrangements will be with Seymour Memorial Funeral Home and the family will receive visitors there on Thursday, December 6, from6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
